The organization was formed to preserve Taille de Noyer, a historical post-colonial home with was built in 1790.

Taille de Noyer (Walnut Grove) began as a two room log cabin, and grew over the years into a twenty-two room country manor. The home was owned by five generations of the Mullanphy/Chambers family until 1960, when it was saved from demolition by the citizens of the area, who were led by the Florissant Valley Historical Society.

The Society continues to maintain Taille de Noyer as a living museum, which is open on Sunday afternoons for tours, and also holds educational and social gatherings throughout the year. Proceeds from this dinner will be used for the continued preservation of the 229 year old home.

Tickets to the dinner are $50, with a cash bar available. Reservations are required, and can be obtained by calling 636-938-4996.
